A combined venture between York St John University and Make It York, the top 100 identifies the fantastic work achieved from the diverse range of businesses that are headquartered in York. The project, which began in 2017, looks to recognise the significant contribution these companies make to York’s business landscape and their part in the local and wider economy. Compiled using a specially commissioned algorithm developed by York Business School, researchers were able to rank businesses across a number of key criteria including turnover, growth rate, staff retention and profit levels.
Following our MBO in 2017, the company has seen many decisive changes resulting in two of the best trading years in company history. One of the most significant changes in performance has come through our rapid expansion in international operations. Working with our global network of accredited partners, we have successfully delivered state of the art collaboration environments on a global scale for major corporate brands.
“Working with some of the top brands in the corporate, financial and retail sectors has seen our international sales leap from £500K to £3.8M in the last two years,” explains joint managing and financial director Colin Nixey. “This exciting trend is one that we will continue to embrace as we develop our position as a market leader.”
“This positive result is a great validation to the hard work that the new management team and everyone at Saville Group has invested in driving the company forward. With our new brand transformation still in the early stages, we are looking forward to raising our position again next year” commented joint managing director Andy Dyson.
